FAWM is coming up.... and this would be my..12th year? 13th?

OK - I will probably do this again this year... for reasons. As usual I am spending January thinking about what I am going to do thematically and have a few ideas. Last year (or was it the year before... not sure) I restricted myself to six sound sources for the while of FAWM - meaning I picked on six synth/drum apps and I had to use them for all 14 tracks. That worked pretty well but I seriously fell out with a couple of the apps and have never used them again (yes FRMS I am looking at you). This year I have another restriction born out of the decision paralysis that has been dogging my workflow. I guess the point is that I have been making electronic music on IOS for 14 years now, and in that time I have collected a lot of apps. Some have been discontinued or no longer work, some are not AUv3 and so no longer fit in with my workflow, but a truly huge number of them are still fully functional and, frankly, completely excellent. This means that I have an iPad stocked with thousands of top quality music apps, some of which I know very well, some I have barely scratched the surface with, and that can be daunting. Sometimes wanting to get full use of things I invested in gets in the way of wanting to just make music.
So this year - for each track - I am allowed one drum app and one synth, and for effects I can only use the output of a single developer, so (for example) I might use Sugar Bytes Drum Computer, Waldorf Blofeld and any effects by AudioThing.
A lot of the drum apps I own are extremely expansive and capable and the synths can make a vast array of sounds and styles so this shouldn't be too difficult I think. The effects thing is interesting because 99% of the time I use Bleass effects for everything except for a few notables from other devs - I usually use FabFilter ProR as a reverb, FAC Smash to noise up my beats, Beep Street's combustor for noise, Quantivox's Ringotron to add movement, Photolyth's Cascade or Eric Sigth's rymdigare to add er... spacey weirdness to things. having to stick with one Dev is really going to force my hand and make me do different things.
If I use a Groovebox then I can only use that groovebox app and nothing else.
Vocal samples and or singing can be added as necessary.
and that's it.
As a theme I was thinking of crime/enforcement as there is a rich vein of 911 calls and body cam footage I would like to mine, but my rage at social media and "influencer" culture might force me down a rat hole there (again)
I am going to use K'mdgn as my artist name (pronounced Curmudgeon if you hadn't guessed) as I feel that "pantsofdeath" might be just a bit too daft really.
Musically I have been listening to a lot of 'Atonal' things like Emptyset and Blawan recently and that atonality can be seen in the releases I have put out this year so I imagine that that will inform the style of this album..
